Aspiring 'stylist to the stars' Scarlett, an Atlanta, Georgia native, is headed for her new job in Los Angeles when her car breaks down in Brody's Crossing, Texas.  Life is slower in a small town, especially car repairs.  Scarlett works in Clarissa's House of Style, where she meets attorney James Brody after some women complain to him about their hair.  Soon James and Scarlett are an item around town, and a would-be scandal in county seat Graham, where James serves for a week as a judge.  Scarlett realizes she's falling in love, but she's determined to get to L.A. even as James asks her to stay forever.  Can an avante garde stylist find happiness in a small Texas town?  James, his family and friends believe she can, if only they can convince her that love is more powerful than fame.
